Bay C of E Elementary School
SICO®reached out to Karen Colwill, Newbuild Project ManagerBay C of E Elementary School, Isle of Wight, who were looking for dining room furniture that would allow the dining room to be used for multiple purposes.
Like many elementary schools, the space not only serves as a cafeteria, but also facilitates breakfast and after-school clubs, school meetings, physical education and parents' nights.
The school had a clear agenda, the new dining room furniture needed to be quick and easy to fit and store, but more importantly, it needed to be stored more compactly in a store cupboard that would house not only the furniture but also the cleaning equipment. .
Our school bought SICO® table seatsfor our new build in September 2013. One of the reasons for the purchase was the fact that in our new build the storage closet was smaller than we were used to and the SICO®units seemed like the perfect solution to our problems.

Fields Store Elementary School
Ken Blanchard's observation that "none of us are as smart as all of us" applies here. Through cooperation with the architectural firm Interior Systems Inc., manufacturer of mobile folding furniture SICO®America Inc. and Wilsonart High Pressure Laminate (HPL), Edu-Source Corporation facilitated the cafeteria and kitchen renovation at Fields Store Elementary School in Waller, Texas. Although more than 55 percent of the student body comes from disadvantaged backgrounds, the school enjoys a reputation for excellence, including receiving an award from the National Blue Ribbon Schools Program in 2014. All that was missing was an interior to match the intent.
After Edu-Source Corporation translated the school concept and Interior Systems, Inc. developed the design/finish palette, SICO®Custom mobile folding tables. "While we have a standard construction for most of our tables, Wilsonart's wide range of HPL colors and surface designs allow our customers to virtually customize their products," says Chris Dickey, Senior Product Development Engineer at SICO.®. "Add the ability to download custom graphics and the options are endless." What does SICO do?®However, an industry leader in the industry, is the company's reputation for quality, safety and service. “We use Wilsonart®HPL in most of our products for many reasons. It's UL GREENGUARD Gold Certified, which is important for materials that go into schools. Plus, the surface is durable and easy to clean, even with extended use – and we warrant our products for 15 years against manufacturing defects and for life on welds,” says Dickey.
Oroville, Washington School District
Steve Thompson, director of maintenance for the Oroville, Washington school district, contacted a SICO®concessionaire because he was interested in buying our electricityBY-65 Dining Tables, to replace the existing SICO in the area®paintings… from 1957. That's right – 1957!
The district still used Eisenhower-era tables until recently, when its superintendent purchased used cafeteria tables, made by another manufacturer, from a neighboring school district. Maintenance personnel quickly realized that the nearly 60-year-old SICO®the tables looked and performed better than the competitor's 10 year old tables. Later, when they managed to order new tables for the cafeteria, they contacted SICO®. Not to mention that the maintenance manager and almost all the personnel in the area were sitting in the old SICO®lunch tables when they were kids – our tables also had a lot of sentimental value!
When an estimate is provided for a new elegant and reliable SICO®tables, the maintenance manager calculated its return on investment - based on the extremely long service life. He quickly realized that SICO® Mesas BY-65it was "steal".
