spiral downwards, making a complete rotation of the beam with each bead. 2. Slide the sleeve over the column bearing sleeve in sealant. 3. Allow the sealant to harden and make sure the sleeve is firmly seated on the pin. 4. Repeat the installation if the sleeve can be easily removed from the beam. 5. Do not install sleeves with manufacturer's double-sided foam tape.

B. Install the plastic transition tape in the locations and as shown in the drawings.

3.3 INSTALLATION

A. Adjust the raw wood to the required levels and lines with true-to-line barrel members cut and fitted. Adapt the raw wood to another structure. write and parse as needed for accurate application. Locate ceilings, studs, barriers, grounds, and similar supports to meet requirements for attaching other constructions. 1. Make continuous piece members as long as possible. 2. Do not connect structural members between supports unless otherwise noted.

B. Provide blocking and framing as indicated and necessary to support materials, fixtures, specialty items, and decorations. 1. Provide metal clips to secure drywall or battens at corners and intersections where they frame or

Blocking does not provide a surface to secure the panel edges. Space clips no greater than 16 inches o.c.

C. Secure the members in place with the specified fastener. Select size fasteners that will not fully penetrate members where the opposite side will be exposed to view or receive finishing materials. Make close connections between members. Install fasteners without splitting the wood. Do not sink nail heads unless instructed otherwise.

D. Hardwood Flooring, Nailing, Blocking and Nailing: Install where indicated and where necessary for laminating or securing other jobs. Form the shapes shown and cut as needed for the actual line and plane of the attached work. Coordinate sites with other related tasks. 1. Adapt objects to substrates to support the applied load. Socket bolts and nuts are flush with surfaces unless

otherwise indicated. 2. Attachment slots below the surface of wooden members.

E. Wood pile: Lay flat and barrel with closure strips at edges and openings. Wood veneer as needed for finish tolerance.

7. Seal corner joints, base and ceiling joints, and panel-to-wall joints with sealant. Remove excess sealant during installation.

8. Apply sealant to all openings, corners and joints.
