Dead Man's Wonderlandis a 2011 series about an ultraviolent prison system where inmates with blood powers known as Ramos do Pecado are forced to compete in gladiator fights for the entertainment of the masses. The protagonist Ganta Igarashi is an ordinary high school student who sees his class being massacred by a mysterious figure and has a strange diamond implanted inside him. Investigators quickly pin the crime on the innocent boy, sending him to the deadly prison/theme park known as Deadman Wonderland. Ganda must fight in these gladiatorial games to survive, as well as navigate prison culture as he tries to find a way to clear his name. While the premise had potential, the series ended after 12 episodes (plus a later OVA), covering around 20 chapters, with over half of the manga's story to tell.

At the same time, though, Kazuma's family members start getting murdered, and the culprit appears to be using Wind Magic. It was adapted into a 24-episode series in 2007, covering several of the main story's 6 light novels. Unfortunately, its authorkaze without stigmaAs for Takahiro Yamato's light novels, he died in 2009, which means this is a story that never had a chance to end well.
